Overview

Focus Demolition were recruited to demolish the traffic bridge at the Carousel Shopping Centre as part of the wider shopping centre redevelopment project. The complex now houses 60 new retailers, 20 new eateries and a new multi-deck car park.

Like all demolition projects the Carousel Shopping Centre wasn’t without it’s own complications. The bridge demolition had to be completed alongside an active shopping centre with bustling roads nearby. Maintaining safety protocols was Focus Demolition’s highest priority, alongside completing the job ahead of deadline.

Focus Demolition relied on in-depth planning and strategy to make sure the project was completed to the highest of standards. In the end the whole project was completed successfully, on-time and on budget with no injuries or incidents occurring.

The Carousel Shopping Centre project in Cannington had several elements of works to be completed in a short time frame. From post-tensioned suspended slab buildings to traffic bridges and decontamination and demolition of original truss buildings.
