Focus Demolition successfully completed the full demolition of a 20m high five-storey building constructed of concrete, steel, and brick infill. The project presented significant challenges, including the presence of hazardous limpet asbestos fireproofing insulation on the structural steel throughout the building and the close proximity of the structure to a neighboring property, with a mere 20mm gap along an 80-meter shared boundary.

One of the challenges we faced with this project was the presence of hazardous limpet asbestos fireproofing insulation on the structural steel throughout the building. Our experienced team meticulously removed all asbestos-containing material over an eight-week program prior to the structural demolition phase. By adhering to strict safety protocols and leveraging our extensive knowledge in handling hazardous materials, we completed the removal process without any incidents or exposure to third parties.
